Agriculture Is Brazil’s One Bright Spot - WSJ: A deep recession, political chaos and a Zika virus epidemic have brought Brazil low, but the country is still a world-beater in one respect: agriculture.

Brazil’s crop agency, Conab, said Thursday it expects a record soybean crop this year and a corn crop close to a record. The country’s farmers look set to produce record crops of coffee and sugar cane as well this year, while cattle ranchers and chicken and hog farmers foresee reaching new heights for exports.

But a higher volume of information that is easily accessed means more chances for misinformation and, in some cases, security risks.

A 2016 study by the National Association of Realtors found that 89 percent of home buyers used a website in their search and 57 percent used a mobile app or website. And 42 percent of house hunters looked at online listings before contacting a real estate agent.
